Visitatore Rhobar_III Inviato 10 Maggio, 2013 Non so nulla in merito, potrebbe essere.
The King of Spa 637 Inviato 11 Maggio, 2013 Spanish GP: Sauber qualifying quotes Saturday, May 11th 2013, 15:42 GMT Nico Hulkenberg - 15th: "Qualifying went according to plan today. It is disappointing, as we are simply too slow. The updates this weekend were a step in the right direction, and the set up of the car during qualifying was good, but not good enough as the other teams might have improved even more. I am very satisfied with my lap in Q2. It was the perfect lap. We used two sets of mediums in order to try to get a better grid position, but in the end it wasn't enough, because we were missing pace. Other than that, I think we can be satisfied with what we have done, but we simply need to find more speed." Esteban Gutierrez - 16th: "Qualifying today was tricky. Yesterday and in FP3 this morning I felt quite confident and the laps seemed to be consistent. Overall I think the updates are a good step forward. I could have got more speed out of the last set of tyres, but it's a delicate position when you are driving on the limit and I tried to get the best out of what we have. I'm not satisfied, as I want to be further in front. We simply need to keep pushing to get more speed." Monisha Kaltenborn, team principal: "We cannot be satisfied with P15 and P16. Especially on a track like this one, it will not be easy to achieve a lot from where we start. Both drivers showed great performances today. This shows we have reduced the gap in qualifying, but still have to improve more." Tom McCullough, head of track engineering: "Yet another tight qualifying session where a few tenths move you a long way up the grid. We can take positives from the fact that all the updated parts on the car are working as intended. Both drivers drove well during both sessions. Tyre management will be key tomorrow in the race. So along with that and the strategy we'll now look at the best way to move ourselves forward from where we are starting."
The King of Spa 637 Inviato 12 Maggio, 2013 Spanish GP: Sauber race quotes Sunday, May 12th 2013, 15:26 GMT Nico Hulkenberg - 15th: "We knew that it would be a difficult race today. The start went well and, until the incident in the pitlane, we looked quite good. We planned for a three-stop, but then had to convert to a four-stop. But then we had the incident, which ruined the race for us. Obviously the timing wasn't quite right, but we are a team, so we have to look into it and make sure it does not happen again. Overall the car still felt quite difficult to drive, and I think we still have some homework ahead of us." Esteban Gutierrez - 11th: "I focused on getting the most out of the car today, and it was important to achieve a result like this for me and the team. The team has given me the patience and tools to improve as a driver and this is what I could extract from the car. It was a tough race and tyre management was critical. At the beginning of the race I was quite surprised about how much I could get out of the tyres. The last two stints were a bit more difficult, but this is a step forward." Monisha Kaltenborn, team principal: "To finish a race without points is always disappointing. Nevertheless there were also some positives we could take from this weekend, for instance the better understanding of our car and the measures we had taken before coming here. We didn't expect to make a huge step forward, because we knew that other competitors would also have improvements. However, our updates worked as expected, which is positive. Nevertheless, we know we have to further improve. The analysis of this weekend will help to make bigger steps in the future. Nico was in a strong position, but then the incident in the pitlane, which resulted from an early release, ruined his race. Esteban delivered a very strong performance, we are happy about it and we hope this will give him confidence." Tom McCullough, head of track engineering: "Both drivers had a strong start to the race. Unfortunately with Nico the incident in the pits cost him the chance of a good result. Esteban drove a very strong race and worked well with the engineers to get the most out of the car. Although he started from 19th, he missed 10th place by less than half a second. Our race pace was stronger today than in previous races, so we can take comfort from that, and we can look forward to the race in Monaco." The King of Spa 637 Inviato 25 Maggio, 2013 Monaco GP: Sauber qualifying quotes Saturday, May 25th 2013, 15:44 GMTNico Hulkenberg - 11th: "It was a challenging qualifying. Q3 would have been possible as I was six tenths away. But we changed too late onto the super softs and only had one timed lap, which was a missed opportunity. However in changing conditions like those here in Monaco we can be happy we managed to stay out of trouble. P11 is just outside the top ten, so we can choose our strategy for tomorrow accordingly, which is quite good. I simply have to get the most out of the start, gain one or two spots, and stay out of trouble in the first corner. Then one of the most challenging races lies ahead, but I am looking forward to it, because Monaco has it's own rules and, in the end, this is why we love it so much here."Esteban Gutiérrez - 19th: "It was a disappointing qualifying because we didn't look in bad shape and just our pace on the intermediate tyres wasn't good enough. I wasn't able to find more time, I put the lap together and just couldn't find the grip. It's going to be a tough race tomorrow, considering that it is really hard to overtake here in Monaco. But we will try our best and hopefully a good strategy will help us to get through the traffic."Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal: "We had tricky conditions during qualifying. Esteban left the racing line a few times, which certainly left him with less confidence and hence a result like this. Nico drove a good qualifying, but the timing of the change to super softs was unlucky. Nevertheless, it was difficult to estimate when to change tyres. We will fully focus on the race now, which might hold some opportunities."Tom McCullough, Head of Track Engineering: "The conditions were difficult throughout the session. Esteban struggled with a lack of grip in Q1 and front locking. We need to investigate the cause for that. For Nico, Q3 was possible. If we had switched to the dry tyres one lap earlier, we would have made it a lot easier for him. But starting from P11 there is still a good chance for points, and we will do the best with our strategy to achieve that tomorrow."
The King of Spa 637 Inviato 26 Maggio, 2013 Monaco GP: Sauber race quotes Sunday, May 26th 2013, 16:18 GMTNico Hulkenburg - 11th: "We couldn't expect any miracles today, and yesterday we weren't in the top ten either. Today we just lacked speed throughout the race. Unlike most of the other drivers, I started on soft tyres at the re-start, which was ok in the beginning. But, after another Safety Car, the tyres never came back to life again. The rears especially degraded a lot. When I got out of the car I could see the steel belt, so it's no wonder the pace wasn't good enough anymore. It's a shame, as that point would have been ours."Esteban Gutierrez – 13th: "It was very challenging to bring the car back home without any scratches or a crash. The first Safety Car compromised our strategy and in the end we just had to make the best out of that situation. We couldn't expect to score points, but I did my best to use every opportunity I had to gain positions. Nevertheless, it was also important to not go over the limit and finish the race. I had a good restart and was able to fight, but one of the points where we have to improve is the top speed in order to be able to fight for positions. It was tough with Williams in front and Lotus behind. On the other hand, I need to work so I can cope better with changing conditions in qualifying."Monisha Kaltenborn, team principal: "We are disappointed with the result today, because we were in a position to score points. The first safety car period compromised our strategy. But the most surprising thing for us was that we couldn't gain an advantage with our choice of tyres for the re-start. Although Nico was on soft tyres - the harder compound - the degradation was higher than that of our competitors, who were on super softs. Both drivers drove well, but the car simply wasn't good enough on this track. We still believe, however, the measures we took will show an improvement again in the next race."Tom McCullough, head of track engineering: "It was a typical eventful Monaco race with several Safety Car periods and a red flag. Both drivers drove well today, but ultimately the car was quite hard on its tyres. The degradation was too high, and the overall pace was not quick enough to score points. So we need to regroup and prepare for Montreal in two weeks' time."

The King of Spa 637 Inviato 9 Giugno, 2013 Canadian GP: Sauber qualifying quotes Saturday, June 8th 2013, 19:46 GMTNico Hulkenberg - 11th: "It was really bad luck today. I was on a good lap and could have made Q3, but then the red flag came out 200 metres before the finish line. But I think, after a difficult day yesterday, today we improved quite a bit and P11 is not too bad to start from - it's close to the points. According to the weather forecast it's going to be dry and warmer than it has been all weekend. We have to wait and see how competitive we can be."Esteban Gutierrez - 15th: "The conditions today were very tricky. I was trying to find the limit of the car, and getting grip was difficult. A red flag interrupted Q2, and then it was quite a challenge to put a lap together. Although FP3 was shortened, we were able to get an idea of what would be possible in qualifying. We are pushing the window to the top 10 and we need to keep fighting for Q3. For the race tomorrow we are not sure about the weather, but I suppose it's going to be dry. This can be good for us, because we decided on a low downforce set-up. Hopefully this will help us to overtake."Monisha Kaltenborn, team principal: "It was an exciting qualifying. The team improved significantly compared to yesterday. The fact that Nico didn't make it into Q3 was tough luck. From where we are now, we have a good base for the race tomorrow and points should be possible."Tom McCullough, head of track engineering: "After a difficult Friday we got a lot more out of the car today, and the drivers handled the difficult qualifying conditions very well. Ultimately Nico was unlucky with his final lap before the red flag. He had completed the final corner and was on the way to the line when the red flag came out. His lap time would have taken him easily through to Q3. That's a bit disappointing, but from P11 and P15 we can still score points on a track like this. The car should be strong tomorrow in the race."
The King of Spa 637 Inviato 10 Giugno, 2013 Canadian GP: Sauber race quotes Sunday, June 9th 2013, 21:35 GMTNico Hulkenberg - DNF: "It's disappointing to finish a race like this. Lapping can be troublesome, but these guys are racing too and have things happenings in the race, the same as us. I lapped Giedo van der Garde and braked. At first I didn't feel anything until I came out of the corner and realised the car wasn't going straight, so we decided to stop. Even after we lost positions at the start of the race, we didn't really have the pace today. I was fighting for 14th and couldn't do much more. Of course this is not an ideal way to end a race, but in the end we wouldn't have gained much more."Esteban Gutiérrez - DNF: "For the entire race the car was difficult to drive, and I was always pushing to the limit. Right from the start everyone was closing in. The first set of tyres was difficult to drive on and a one stop would have been impossible. When I came out from my second pit stop into the fist corner, I went over one of the bumps, the front locked up and I couldn't stop."Monisha Kaltenborn team principal: "This is a weekend to forget. We knew this track wouldn't really suit our car. If you have weaknesses on the car in addition to a track that doesn't suit you, then it's twice as hard. We have a lot of work to do."Tom McCullough - head of track engineering: "The circuit's characteristics were going to make it a hard day for our car. Ultimately it was a double DNF, which is very disappointing. On the strategy side we attempted a one stop with Esteban and a two stop with Nico, which was the base strategy today. But ultimately the tyre degradation and wear were too high for Esteban, so we had to convert to a two stopper late in the race and unfortunately he had the incident exiting the pits. Looking forward to Silverstone, that's a track that should suit us better. We have to make sure to get the maximum out of our car." ----------------------------------------------------- La vettura non sarà competitiva, ma ieri entrambi i piloti stavano messi peggio.
