KimiSanton 3,435 Posted September 17, 2018 Rossi ha toccato al primo giro Andretti, rimediando un problema all'ala e una foratura. Poi nel corso della rimonta si è sdoppiato sia da Dixon (2°) sia da Hunter-Reay (1°). Il ritiro di Rahal con conseguente caution lo avrebbe riportato in mezzo al gruppo, ma si sono fermati ulteriormente per gomme morbide. Poi buona rimonta fino al sesto posto finale. Alla partenza, Rossi spacca l'ala e alla curva 4A tira dritto invece di entrare nel misto e prosegue nel circuito della NASCAR. Di fatto rientra in pista molto più avanti dei rivali e va ai box, dove si ferma e cambia l'ala. A questo punto rientra in coda al gruppo, a 40 secondi dal penultimo per la precisione, ma sempre classificato con un giro all'attivo quando in realtà del primo giro ha tagliato metà pista.
